We went to bed last night while snow fell across much of Texas and woke up to a winter wonderland.
We hope all of you enjoyed it as much as we did. Be safe as you drive this morning. Texas doesn’t have the infrastructure in place to keep roads clear of snow. Here’s a few things to keep in mind:
Make sure you clean off the hood and trunk of your car, not just your windshield. As you drive the snow will fly off and can cause a hazard.
Drive slowly. Accelerate and decelerate slowly. Apply gas and brake slowly when needed. Don’t let the car behind you pressure you into driving any faster than you are comfortable with.
When you’re driving up hills don’t power up them and don’t stop (if you can help it). Try to get a little inertia going before the hill to carry you to the top.
Stay home if you don’t need to go out. Even if you can drive well in the snow, not everyone else can. Enjoy the snow at home instead.
